For Lockhurst to Succeed, We Must Have Your Generous Participation!
 Welcome back to school! Part of what makes Lockhurst Elementary an outstanding place for your child's education is our PTSA – a group of dedicated parents and staff who strive to give your child a well-rounded education.
To achieve our goals, we need to supplement LAUSD/California's per child school contribution. Please know that your financial contribution does matter and will make a difference. All monies raised stay at our school to benefit our children. We are asking $100 per child for the year to cover:
- Physical Education Classes = $35 per year for each students.
- Computer Classes = $60 per year (grades 3-5); however, if all families give an extra
$15 per child then ALL students including K-2 at Lockhurst can have computer classes.
- Assemblies = $10 per year for 2 assemblies for ALL students.
- Maintenance of Library, playground equipment, marquee, website, etc. = $30 per year
for ALL students.
As you can see, the total dollar amount is approximately $150. This means we still have to fundraise to make up the deficit from your contribution in addition to funding other projects such as the new playground equipment for the main yard. We need every family to step up and help so all of our students get the education they deserve. Private schools cost in excess of $10,000 per year. What we are asking for is less than $1 a day. We hope you think all our children are worth it! We strongly encourage you to return your contribution. 100% of your donation will stay at Lockhurst Elementary and the PTSA will continue to do all they can to support every Lockhurst student.
